ANGEL GUARDIANS INC.

We pride ourselves on providing services that nurture an environment for people of all abilities to continually enhance their life skills, self-sufficiency and self esteem.

Angel Guardians received its 501 ( c ) 3 designation in 2004. Since then our goal has been to support, engage and promote innovative activities to people of all abilities.

In 2005 The Club @ AGI (Formerly the VSP Club) was opened to promote recreation, social and educational activities in a safe and secure environment. The Club has hosted over 1,100 events since its opening.

A few years later we introduced the Hand Me Ups Thrift Store to help support our mission. The profits from these stores continue to help underwrite our programs. Our Hand Me Ups store is located in the same building as AGI at 15663 Spaulding St, Omaha.

Our TeamWorks program has given high school students with disabilities the opportunity to gain job experience as well as our Supportive Employment program for those who have graduated and want to find their career. We believe that individuals who experience intellectual/developmental disabilities are valuable assets to the community. Each individual deserves a wide selection of options that allow them to use their talents in a fun and supportive atmosphere.

Executive Director

Sam Comfort is on a mission to help employers and individuals with disabilities find meaningful connections. Currently the Executive Director of Angel Guardians, Inc., Sam has nearly two decades of experience supporting individuals with disabilities to obtain and maintain integrated community employment. Angel Guardians, Inc's mission is to foster abilities, increase access to, and create opportunities for inclusion.

At AGI, we believe that everyone should have access to an informed and supportive community. Angel Guardians, Inc. plays a vital role in removing barriers toward full involvement and inclusion for those who experience developmental and intellectual disabilities.

AGI is proud to offer a variety of self-chosen and self-directed services. We believe that individuals who experience intellectual/developmental disabilities are valuable assets to our community. AGI team members directly and positively impact our community. The values of AGI make us a unique organization. They provide us with rights as well as responsibilities. To live our values, we need to incorporate them into everything we do.
